Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts will lead an industry reading of Vincent Gogliormella’s (the Off-Broadway hit Six Goumbas and a Wannabe) newest play Love Goumbas Style on Wednesday, September 27 in midtown Manhattan. 

BIRDLAND THEATER will present the return of “Scunge! A Mobbed-Up Christmas Carol” – written by and starring Broadway’s Dominic Scaglione, Jr., Andy Karl, Dominic Nolfi, and Matt Bogart – from Friday, December 16 through Sunday, December 18.

Vincent Gogliormella, author of the off-Broadway hit Six Goumbas and a Wannabe, will be presenting his new play Love Goumbas Style at The Sheen Center on Thursday September 22, 2022.

The Doo Wop Project returns with two shows on Sunday, June 27 at 2pm and 5pm.  Seating will be socially distanced, outside at the tent next to The Playhouse. 

Featuring stars of Broadway hits Jersey Boys, Motown: The Musical and Chazz Palminteri's A Bronx Tale, The Doo Wop Project traces the evolution of Doo Wop, from the classic sound of five guys singing tight harmonies on a street corner to the biggest hits on the radio today. DWP takes the audience on a journey from the songs of groups like the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos through their influences on the sounds of Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, and The Four Seasons all the way to 'DooWopified' versions of modern musicians like Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Maroon 5. The Doo Wop Project comes to The Ridgefield Playhouse Wednesday, March 25 at 7:30pm, part of Northern Trust Broadway & Cabaret Series with support from Teed & Brown, and Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity.

What with all the creativity being expressed onstage at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre during the run of the Tony Award-winning Jersey Boys, it should come as no surprise that imaginations were just as active - and as fertile - backstage. Take for example, the creation of The Doo Wop Project, the six-member enclave of performers that was borne of offstage conversations and considerations among some cast members of the long-running show.

The Doo Wop Project brings "A Doo Wop Christmas Show" to the McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The Doo Wop Project, with multiple members who have appeared in the Broadway hits "Jersey Boys" and "Motown: The Musical", brings unparalleled sound and vocal authenticity to recreate a classic era in American music that has inspired generations.

Moonlight Presents offers two holiday events in December at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. Sponsored by Dr. Bronner's, the shows include the Doo Wop Project Christmas, featuring stars of Broadway's "Jersey Boys" and "Motown: the Musical," on Sat., Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. Amongst the singers is San Diego native Charl Brown who began his musical theatre journey as a student at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. He would go on to appearing in a number of shows locally, including The Moonlight's "Ragtime" in 2002, before going on to Broadway. Tickets are priced $15 - $40. 'Broken At Love,' a semi-autobiographical dramedy web series, brings its third season to New York and adds some of Broadway's leading men to the mix. The series centers around idealistic Vivienne 'Vivie' Taylor (Karolina Sivas), who gets the rare chance to meet her celebrity crush, professional tennis player Holden Gregory, and her life is turned upside down as a result. What starts as a crush turns into much more with friends, family, and competing love interests further complicating things along the way. In Season 3, Vivie takes her broken heart to NYC for new beginnings and to make a web series about the guy who broke her. The series is created by and stars USC grad/LA Web Fest Best Lead Actress and Best Writer winner Karolina Sivas.

On last night's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT, New York crooner Sal Valentinetti joined the cast of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical JERSEY BOYS for a performance of 'Oh What a Night.'

The producers of the Tony, Grammy & Olivier Award-Winning Best Musical Jersey Boysannounced today that Nicolas Dromard and Drew Seeley will join the Broadway cast in the roles of Tommy DeVito and Bob Gaudio (respectively) beginning Tuesday, September 20th. Richard H. Blake and Quinn VanAntwerp will play their final performances this Sunday, September 18th.

The producers of the Tony, Grammy & Olivier Award-Winning Best Musical Jersey Boys announced today that the Broadway production will end its record-breaking, 11-year run on Sunday, January 15, 2017 after 4,642 performances at the August Wilson Theatre (245 W 52nd St, NYC).
