Ann Hould-Ward and Richard Hudson Receive TDF's Irene Sharaff Awards

TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts, has just announced that celebrated costume designer ANN HOULD-WARD and legendary scenic designer RICHARD HUDSON are among the 2024 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients.

THE WAY THE MOUNTAIN MOVED Opens July 14

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open the world premiere of Idris Goodwin's The Way the Mountain Moved, directed by May Adrales, on July 14 in the Thomas Theatre. Preview performances are July 10, 12 and 13, and the play runs through Oct. 28, 2018.

Holly Hynes and Zack Brown Among 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awardees

Legendary ballet costume designer HOLLY HYNES and costume and scenic designer ZACK BROWN are among the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Award recipients which were just announced by TDF, the not-for-profit service organization for the performing arts. Ms. Hynes was selected to receive the 2018 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Brown will receive the Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 20, at 6:30pm, at the Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street).

OSF to Open 2016 Season with TWELFTH NIGHT

The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival will launch its 81st year with preview performances beginning on February 19, and the season officially kicking off Friday night, February 26 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (director, Christopher Liam Moore).

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) will open Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan's The Great Society at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 27 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. The Great Society was commissioned by and co-produced with Seattle Repertory Theatre and developed through OSF's American Revolutions: the United States History Cycle and the Orchard Project.

The producers of All The Way, by Robert Schenkkan, have announced that the show has won every major award for Best New Play this season - the Drama League Award, the Drama Desk Award, the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama Critics Circle Award and the Tony Award. For his critically acclaimed portrayal of President Lyndon B. Producers of All the Way are thrilled to announce that thanks to generous donations from a number of individuals, the show will be offering free and highly subsidized tickets to students from New York City public high schools for selected performances in May and June. ALL THE WAY Welcomes Class Presidents From NYC Public High Schools

Producers of All The Way have announced that they have invited a group of over fifty student class presidents from New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) public high schools to be their guests for the matinee performance on Wednesday, April 30th. Following the show, the students will enjoy a talkback with cast members, including Bryan Cranston, currently starring as America's 36th President, Lyndon Johnson. The talkback will discuss issues of leadership, presidential power, and the how the play's depiction of the politics of the 1960s resonates today. This event is in partnership with the NYCDOE Office of Arts and Special Projects.
