Shadowbox Live reached deep into their skill sets to celebrate the 11 leaders’ achievements through art, words, dance and song while educating the audience on their significance.  

In THE DREAM AND BEYOND, Shadowbox Live examines how the words in King’s speech affect the lives of 11 people through acting, dancing and singing. The show opens on Jan. 25 and runs through April 14 at the troupe’s theater (503 S. Front Street in downtown Columbus)

Produced and directed by Julie Klein, PILLOW TALK provides a collection of Shadowbox Live’s best skits of the past year, hits the right notes for a variety of patrons. the two-act mixture of rock and roll and comedy opened Jan. 5 and runs through April 13 at the troupe’s stage at 503 S. Front Street in downtown Columbus.

The Central Ohio Theatre Roundtable (DBA Theatre Roundtable) Annual Celebration took place on April 30, 2023, at 7PM at Shadowbox Live. Theatre Roundtable is a Columbus-based consortium of community, educational, and professional theatre companies that exists to further the performing arts in Ohio.

On Saturday 22 October, Great British Bake Off Semi-Finalist 2021 and London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) fan Jürgen Krauss presented the Orchestra with a cake he made for its 90th birthday. The trombone player and Brighton resident cut the cake on stage at Brighton Dome, where the Orchestra has a residency, alongside Co-Principal Horn and Vice-President Mark Vines.

Shadowbox Live is mounting their next original signature production, Circle of Blood:  A Story of Betrayal, Honor and Vengeance inspired by the graphic novel "Kabuki' by New York Times Best Selling Graphic Author David Mack. Circle of Blood:  A Story of Betrayal, Honor and Vengeance runs September 29 - November 12, 2017, for 29 performances at Shadowbox Live's theatre, 503 S. After all the holiday fallout has settled and 2017 has been successfully ushered in, Shadowbox Live turns the lights down low, slips into something a little more comfortable, and gets ready to get it on with Body Heat, a sexy, new sketch comedy and rock 'n' roll show opening January 5, at the Brewery District theater, 503 South Front Street.

?In Spring 2014, Shadowbox Live premiered a unique, new genre of performance, Gallery of Echoes: The CMA Experience, a seamless blending of disparate art disciplines (including music, video and dance), inspired by 21 pieces from the permanent collection at the Columbus Museum of Art.

'Imagine if you stopped to look at a painting, it unfolds in front of you, moving through space to cover every inch of your vision. A curator's voice begins to whisper in your ear, telling the story of the piece. Music transforms the brush strokes into melodies and harmonies that become the painting's soundtrack. And nearby, live performers may experience the work through dance, song, and spoken word. Art inspired by art inspired by art.'

Shadowbox Live regulars know that while saucy, sensual, and sassy are year-round commodities for the troupe, when the season of love rolls around, Shadowbox tends to shed its few inhibitions left. Titling its Lion's Den sponsored show, "Foreplay", and the sold out crowds packing the venue are neither shocking nor surprising, but what is an incredibly ironic twist- this is one of the most tamed down shows to grace the 'Box yet.

Wednesday, March 2nd, Shadowbox Live held the first major event in its future home, The March Home Fundraiser.

Summer's days are numbered, and Fall is creeping up fast. As the air gets crisp and the leaves change colors, the metaperformers of Shadowbox are ready to indulge in their darker, mischevious side with a brand new show, Nightmare at Shadowbox, opening September 2, 2010 at the sketch comedy and rock ‘n' roll club at the Easton Town Center.
