Chicago Premiere Of Grand Polish Opera KING ROGER Announced At Chicago Opera Theater


King Roger, or Król Roger in Polish, will be presented in a semi-staged production featuring a massive chorus of 120 singers and a 72 piece orchestra at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance 205 E Randolph St, in two performances only; Friday, November 18 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, November 20, at 3:00 PM.

On March 20, 2021, San Francisco Opera presented a free stream of Richard Wagner’s opera Siegfried as part of Francesca Zambello’s 2017-2018 American Ring. Forest projections set the mood for Runnicles and Zambello’s nature-friendly, quasi-impressionistic rendering of the opera. Lighting Designer Mark McCullough illuminated the opening scene as though it was  a dream.

American Symphony Orchestra Launches Free Streaming Series: ASO Online


American Symphony Orchestra has launched ASO Online, a new digital initiative in collaboration with Bard's Fisher Center. To stay in touch with its audiences and to help the community escape from stress through music during the COVID-19 pandemic, ASO will release a recording of a past performance for streaming on its website each Wednesday. Streaming content will alternate each week between a??live video recordings of operas from Bard's SummerScape festival featuring ASO as the orchestra-in-residence, and iconic symphonic audio recordings from the Orchestra's past seasons.
