BESPOKE PLAYS - a bicoastal production company - will present an industry reading of SUPPER by Phinneas Kiyomura on Sunday, February 16th. Completing the cast are Josh Adam Ramos (Chicken and Biscuits), Alexander Sanders (Pip's Island), and Emily Gardner Xu Hall (I Am This For You). They join the previously announced Danny Johnson (Daredevil, Luke Cage) and C.K. Allen (Guiding Light, All My Children). Daryl Lathon (Steal The Stars) will direct; the Production Stage Manager is Allie York. Kelsey Sheppard will read stage directions.

New Ohio Theatre's annual New York Indie Theatre Film Festival (NYITFF) a?" a unique presentation of film works by New York theatre makers a?" returns in 2020 with a stellar lineup, including a special screening of a feature directed by downtown legend Charles Busch, with a talkback with the artist, and a reading of a new screenplay written and directed by playwright, filmmaker, and author Brooke Berman (Hunting and Gathering). The 2019 NY Indie Theatre Film Festival opens tonight, February 8 at 7pm, with the NY festival premiere of Poor Behavior (2016), written by Theresa Rebeck. Based on her play of the same name, Ms. Rebeck (upcoming spy thriller 355, Broadway's Bernhardt/Hamlet, NBC's 'Smash') makes her film directorial debut with this dark, dysfunctional comedy. Rebeck will participate in a talkback after the screening, moderated by Marc Stuart Weitz, New Ohio Theatre's Producing Director.

Peculiar Works Project to Present 3CHRISTS, Opening 9/7


Peculiar Works Project has announced the world premiere of their next site-specific theatrical event, 3CHRISTS, written by SM Dale & Barry Rowell, and directed by Kelly O'Donnell. Based on The Three Christs of Ypsilanti, a psychological study by Milton Rokeach, 3CHRISTS will be performed in the sanctuary of Judson Memorial Church (55 Washington Square South, at Thompson St.). Performances begin on Friday, September 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 28. Opening Night is Sunday, September 7 at 7 PM. The performance schedule is Thursday - Sunday at 7 PM.
