The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced a community partnership with the Philadelphia Office of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) — an organization that envisions a nation where all Americans have equal access to a college education that prepares them for rich intellectual lives, competitive and fulfilling careers, engaged citizenship and service to the nation. The Cliburn has announced the new details of the eighth edition of the Cliburn International Amateur Piano Competition, for non-professional pianists age 35 and older. Originally scheduled for May 2020 and postponed due to the pandemic, the Amateur Competition will now take place October 12–18, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.
