Longtime arts patrons Ann and William Van Ness welcomed guests to their art filled townhouse for a very special kickoff cocktail reception for the committees and honorees of the upcoming ROLEX presents NEW YORK NEW YORK a helluva town - Career Transition For Dancers' 29th Anniversary Jubilee which takes place Monday, October 6, 2014 followed by dinner at The Grand Ballroom at The Hilton New York. ROLEX Career Transition For Dancers 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee was a complete sell out with everyone of the 2,700 seats at City Center filled. Over 800 guests went on the the Hilton for the Anniversary supper, the live luxury auction and dancing with the dancers. The evening raised a cool $ 1.2 Million which will go to CTFD's scholarship programs. Allen Brill, ROLEX USA, CEO & President committed to presenting the annual Jubilee for three more years.

On October 6, Michele and Lawrence Herbert hosted a pre-gala kickoff cocktail reception at their Park Avenue apartment for the upcoming Rolex presents Career Transition For Dancers' 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee - A Star-Studded Retrospective to be hosted by five time Tony Award winner and legendary Broadway musical star Angela Lansbury on November 8, at New York City Center followed by an Anniversary Supper with the Stars at the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton New York.

Career Transition For Dancers (Cynthia Fischer, President; Alexander J. Dubé, Executive Director) have announced that Angela Lansbury is the new Honorary Chairwoman. Also Board member, Anka K. Palitz is the Vice President of Fundraising and Judith Anderson is the Vice President of Programs.

Career Transition For Dancers and the Shubert Organization gathered at the Eugenia Room at Sardi's (234 W. 44th St.) on March 26th for an a Between-Show-Get-Together event that featured Broadway dancers.

Like the dancers they support who need to warm-up a bit before they hit the stage, the organizers of the October 23 'One World, A Spectacular Global Celebration to Benefit Career Transition For Dancers (CTFD)' got together for a warm up session / cocktail party at the home of Ann and Bill Van Ness
