Lillias White and Scotch Ellis Loring to Star in GOLDEN WINGS, Part of TRU Voices New Plays Virtual Reading Series


Theater Resources Unlimited has announced that the second play in the TRU Voices Series, Golden Wings by Coolidge Harris II, will star Tony winner Lillias White and Scotch Ellis Loring on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 3pm. The cast also includes Stanley Wayne Mathis, Jerome Preston Bates, Dan Saunders, Crystal Starr, Sherman Edwards and Aliria Johnson.

Experience today's 4th of July at the California African American Museum (CAAM) with live performances and a unique art workshop, followed by Exposition Park's annual fireworks display. In celebration of America's birthday, Target Sundays at CAAM has been moved to today, July 4th for this special holiday event. The Museum galleries will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the outdoor live performances start at 6 p.m. for today's July 4th program Gleaming at Twilight. CAAM will provide guests first priority for a seat on CAAM's lawn to view Exposition Park's annual fireworks display.

American Pop Anthology's Floyd and Birgitte Mutrux Premiere BOY FROM NEW YORK CITY Tonight, 9/20


American Pop Anthology, in association with Scott Prisand (Broadway's Rock of Ages), announced that they will present the new musical production BOY FROM NEW YORK CITY written and directed by Tony Award-nominee Floyd Mutrux (Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet and Baby It's You!) and choreographed by Birgitte Mutrux (Broadway's Baby It's You!). Performances begin tonight, September 20, 2012 for an eight-week run at The Coast Playhouse (8325 Santa Monica Boulevard) in West Hollywood.

Big Daddy Cool and Company Bring Their Swingin' Show to Gallatin's Palace Theatre


Set in post-World War II Chicago, the show features swing music for the mid-20th Century, award-winning magic and illusion, and high energy swing dance. Songs include "It Don't Mean A Thing," "In The Mood," "Jump Jive & Wail," "Blues In The Night" and many more hit songs from the mid-20th Century.

BABY IT'S YOU to Perform at Shirelles' High School, 8/7


The cast of Broadway's Golden Oldie's musical, BABY IT'S YOU!, will perform at a fundraising event benefitting Passaic High School on Sunday August 7, at 7:30pm. Florence Greenberg's daughter, Mary Jane, first saw the four singers that her mother would make into the Shirelles at a talent show in the auditorium of Passaic High School, and in honor of that historic event the BABY IT'S YOU! cast will be performing numbers from the Broadway musical that chronicles the meteoric rise of the legendary girl group. The benefit will take place in the newly refurbished auditorium of Passaic High School (170 Paulison Avenue, Passaic, NJ) and will also feature a performance by the Passaic High School Band and a special Q&A with the cast of BABY IT'S YOU!. Tickets are $20 at the door and 100% of the proceeds will benefit a performing arts scholarship fund for a deserving Passaic High School Student.

BABY IT'S YOU! stars 2011 Tony Award nominee Beth Leavel, Allan Louis and Geno Henderson in a cast of 12 that features Erica Ash, Kelli Barrett, Kyra Da Costa, Erica Dorfler, Jahi A.
