Tisch New Theatre's production of Alice by Heart will take place at Theater for the New City from April 26th - April 28th, 2024. Directed by Juliette Markman, Choreographed by Erin Amstein, Music Direction by Chelsea Melnick, and Produced by Leah Frantz, this adaptation of Alice by Heart asks the question: can we ever truly escape our reality?

From August 25 to September 15, 2024, Theater for the New City (TNC), under the direction of Crystal Field, will present its twelfth Dream Up Festival, an ultimate new works festival dedicated to the joy of discovering talented authors of all backgrounds and original, innovative performances.

Crystal Field presents Aftershocks, running for 12 performances March 28- April 14. The play is directed by Lissa Moira and written by Rori Nogee (Siren's Den: A Rock Musical).

From April 4 to 21, Theater for the New City will present the world premiere of 'Issue #9,' an original musical written and directed by Briana Bartenieff, composed by J.H. Greenwell. 

On March 16 at 3:00 PM, Theater for the New City (TNC), 155 First Avenue (at East Tenth Street), will celebrate the life of Joseph Vernon Banks, the long-time composer of its Street Theater productions, who died of cancer at age 62 on November 11, 2023.
