Corey Fogelmanis ('Girl Meets World') has been cast in the lead role of Fullscreen's thriller “PrankMe.” The scripted series, currently in production in London, created by Jesse Cleverly and Paul Neafcy (“Jack & Dean of All Trades”), follows young social media success story 'Jasper Perkins' on his downward spiral; transforming from online prankster to crowd-sourced killer.

Center Theatre Group's production of 'Amelie, A New Musical' at the Ahmanson Theatre opened December 16 and continues through January 15, 2017. Based on the motion picture written by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Guillaume Laurant, 'Amelie, A New Musical' will have its Broadway premiere at the Walter Kerr Theatre, beginning performances on March 9, 2017 and opening April 3, 2017. The stars were shining in Hollywood for the 2016 Looking Ahead Awards on Tuesday night at the beautiful Taglyan Complex, where over 300 guests enjoyed exciting "blue carpet" arrivals, fabulous cocktail hour, fun photo booth, delicious gourmet dinner and a meaningful celebrity-studded awards ceremony. The event raised over $50,000 in support of The Actors Fund's Looking Ahead program.

The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 6:30pm at Conejo Players Theatre -- located at 351 South Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks, CA, 91361. There will be a champagne dessert reception immediately following; additionally, guests are encouraged to stay for that evening's hilarious Conejo Improv Players performance at 8:00pm.

The Pasadena Playhouse adds to the excitement of this year's Panto at The Playhouse production of PETER PAN AND TINKER BELL - A PIRATES CHRISTMAS with special Peter Pan and Tinker Bell breakfasts on select days (which can be enjoyed with or without tickets to the show) and, as a way of giving back to the community with the record-breaking success of this year's production, a one day only, Pay-What-You-Can Lottery on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.  

The Pasadena Playhouse and Lythgoe Family Productions (LFP) recently opened Panto at the Playhouse PETER PAN AND TINKER BELL - A PIRATES CHRISTMAS. The cast features Sabrina Carpenter as 'Wendy' ('Girl Meets World', Hollywood Records recording artist), Kevin Quinn as 'Peter Pan' ('Bunk'd,' Season 12 of 'American Idol', 'Adventures in Babysitting'), Nikki SooHoo as 'Tiger Lily' ('The Lovely Bones,' 'Bring It On: Fight to the Finish' and 'Stick It'), Corey Fogelmanis as 'John' ('Girl Meets World'), and August Maturo as 'Michael' ('Girl Meets World'). BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

For the last few years the uber talented Lythgoe family have been entertaining us at Christmastime, first at the El Portal in NoHo and now at the Pasadena Playhouse with a British style panto. A panto is an interactive entertainment that starts with a very contemporary retelling of a fairy tale such as Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, or in this case Peter Pan and turns it into a fun imaginative show with music that will appeal to both children and their parents. There's usually an actor in drag - none here, and a villain (John O'Hurley as Captain Hook) ... and audience are encouraged to root for the heroes and HISS loudly at the villains. O'Hurley merely needs to turn on that magnificent voice to seize control of the audience, after which kids and adults boo and boo some more. It's all in amusement, of course, and this year's Peter Pan and Tinker Bell A Pirate's Christmas is all good fun with an excellent cast, some fine pop singing and fast-paced dancing... and, first and foremost, a pleasant script by Kris Lythgoe. I feel that some elements of the traditional Peter Pan telling should have been left in tact. For whatever reason, Lythgoe made some less appealing changes.
