Paper Mill Playhouse continue its 75th Anniversary Season with the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific. With music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan, South Pacific will be directed by Rob Ruggiero and choreographed by Ralph Perkins. Mike McGowan joins this enchanting cast as Emile de Becque replacing the previously announced Jason Howard.

As Riverside's celebrated 40th Anniversary Season continues, the full cast of the theatre's premier production of South Pacific is complete and joins the previously announced casting of Opera star David Pittsinger as Emile de Becque. Musicals Tonight! the Obie-winning company dedicated to the revival of neglected musicals kicks off its 2013-14 season with a 16-performance run of Cole Porter's Mexican Hayride (October 8 - 20) directed by Thomas Sabella-Mills, with music direction by James Stenborg.

The cast features Jessica Wagner, M.X. Soto, Amie Bermowitz, Casey Hebbel, Ryan Hilliard, Tara Lynne Khaler, David Marmanillo, Benjamin Perez, Natalie Ramirez, Kelly Ross, April Woodall, Michael J. Borges, Cristina Farruggia, Glenn Giron, Cat Greenfield, Alex Krasser, Christiana Little, Christian Marriner, Jacob L. Smith, and Andreas Wyder.

Shrek The Musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to life on stage. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre - not a handsome prince - shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Shrek The Musical will be performed at Three Stages today, March 14, 7:30 pm; Friday, March 15, 8 pm; Saturday, March 16, 2 and 8 pm, and Sunday, March 16, 1:30 and 7 pm.

Decorated with Monty Pythonesque humor, the touring production of 'Shrek' the musical contains enough tasteful pop culture and Broadway musical references to make the Genie at Disney California Adventure's 'Aladdin Musical Spectacular' proud. Creators lifted much of the dialogue from the original film and surrounded it with catchy music and endearing characters.

The national tour of Shrek the Musical, currently playing at the Capitol Theatre, is a big, bright, beautiful show the whole family will absolutely love.

It is my humble opinion that the musical is better than the movie - it's a little bit sassier and totally hilarious. In particular, I find the character of Fiona to be especially likeable.
