As part of its ongoing centennial tribute to Maria Callas, The Greek National Opera presents Callas at the Herodium on September 16, featuring the repertoire the legendary soprano performed at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in 1944 and 1957.

 The Greek National Opera’s 2023-24 season, curated by GNO Artistic Director Giorgos Koumendakis, features seven new opera and ballet productions including the first Wagner production to be staged at the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center, two co-productions, and one newly commissioned opera, as well as four revivals of past productions, tribute celebrations for Maria Callas’s centennial anniversary, and the third Artist on the Composer program.

The Royal Opera has announced several casting updates for its upcoming season.

From rock to Rossini, Victorian Opera announces its Season 2022 with a year of undiscovered gems, thrilling epics and two world premieres. The state opera company presents eight productions, including three Australian operas.

Manhattan Theatre Club is continuing MTC’s virtual Snapshot Series with Camille A. Brown – A Glimpse Behind The Curtain, streaming Thursday, May 20 – Sunday, May 23 only. Conceived and created by Tony Award nominee Brown, the piece is filmed and edited by Bowie Alexander, with a prologue and original music by Daryl Waters.

Conducted by Kirill Karabits, the BSO's Chief Conductor, the Orchestra will be joined by Catherine Foster as Elektra, in her first UK operatic performance in 20 years. Alongside Catherine Foster, the Orchestra will be joined by Allison Oakes in her UK operatic debut as Chrysothemis, a role in which she made her Metropolitan Opera debut last season, and Susan Bullock, who is internationally acclaimed for her Elektra and will be making her UK debut as Klytemnestra.

Peak Performances continues its acclaimed 2017-2018 season of works by women with ink, from award-winning choreographer and TED Fellow Camille A. Brown, February 1-4, 2018, at the Alexander Kasser Theater at Montclair State University.

Director Francesca Zambello's Gotterdammerung is truly awesome-in both the original and contemporary senses of the word.  The conclusion of a four-part epic, this six-hour installment depicts the final struggle for ownership of a magical ring whose owner might rule the world-but which also holds a dire curse for all who come into contact with it. In the third installment of the Washington National Opera's mammoth staging of Richard Wagner's The Ring of the Nibelung at the Kennedy Center, a new Brunnhilde awakens, Fafner's dragon turns out to be more of a monster truck, and the titular star of the work, Siegfried, turns out to be much more of a jerk than you'd ever want him to be.

Three cycles of Wagner's epic will be presented from tonight, April 30 to May 22, 2016 in the Kennedy Center Opera House. These performances will be the first time the company has presented The Ring in complete cycles in its history, and they are the only complete cycles to be presented in North America in 2016. Conceived and directed by WNO Artistic Director Francesca Zambello and with the WNO Orchestra led by WNO Music Director Philippe Auguin, the production brings together an internationally renowned cast, including British soprano Catherine Foster (Brünnhilde, Cycles I & II), Swedish soprano Nina Stemme (Brünnhilde, Cycle III), American tenor Daniel Brenna (Siegfried), American bass-baritone Alan Held (Wotan/The Wanderer), and many other of today's great Wagnerian singers.

The interaction between Brown and her equally hardworking partner Catherine Foster portrayed a multidimensional mix of African-American culture and urban girlhood not often accessible to those without a similar background. There was a sense of sisterhood and innocence not often seen in mainstream portrayals of African American youth. However, the piece did not limit itself to depicting the idyllic.

Camille A. Brown & Dancers, recognized for its introspective approach to cultural themes through visceral movement and socio-political dialogues, announces its 2015-2016 Season tour. Commencing with the world premiere of Bessie and Doris Duke award-winning choreographer Camille A. Brown's BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play at New York's Joyce Theater, the company will also tour to 10 venues and cities across the nation, including Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami. Performances will feature original live music by composers Scott Patterson (piano) and Tracy Wormworth (electric bass), and a moderated dialogue with audiences around the cultural and universal themes presented by the Company's repertory. Mark Anthony Neal and dream hampton are among the moderators for the Joyce Theater. The season will also include various residencies, Black Girl Spectrum workshops and panel discussions.
