Variety Show and Cabaret Star Carmel Quinn Dies at 95

Perhaps she was best known for her concerts at Carnegie Hall, which began in 1955. She performed benefit concerts every year on St. Patrick’s Day for more than two decades, and they all sold out.

Calling Artists and Writers to Display Work at Leonia Arts' Sixth Annual MEET THE ARTISTS

Leonia Arts, a nonprofit cultural arts alliance in the borough, is co-sponsoring with the Leonia Public Library the sixth annual 'Meet the Artists'.  The event will be held on Sunday, September 25 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall located at 399 Broad Avenue in the town.  The event is free and open to the public.

High School Vocalists to Compete at SONGBOOK Regionals this Weekend in New York

High school vocalists from New York and Connecticut will compete on Saturday, June 15 at a regional for the Great American Songbook Vocal Academy & Competition. Sponsored by the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Initiative, the annual endeavor is the only U.S. competition dedicated solely to the music from Broadway, Hollywood musicals and the Tin Pan Alley era of the early to mid-twentieth century.

Joe Iconis Returns to Barrington Stage, 10/11-13

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, is proud to announce the return of award-winning songwriter Joe Iconis with his popular cabaret Joe Iconis & Family for three performances October 11- 13, at the now 99-seat Mr. Finn's Cabaret, located on the lower level of the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center (formerly Stage 2), 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield. Tickets to Joe Iconis & Family are $15 and general admission. Beer, wine and soda are available.
