The holidays are just around the corner, and Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is thrilled to provide even more festive entertainment with their new original streaming show Barbara And Gregory's Second Annual Holiday Bazaar… Now Streaming LIVE!

Maryland Ensemble Theatre has announced its second production in its 2020-2021 Season Of Surprises: William Shakespeare's The Tempest.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre will revive its original Fun Company production of SUPER! The Musical for socially distanced outdoor performances at Vanish Brewery in Leesburg, Virginia.

In the wake of the COVID-19 Shutdown, Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) remains committed to its mission of creating courageous, relevant, accessible programs that enable people to feel more, think deeper and laugh longer. Starting this week, MET will release archival recordings of. two original works on Vimeo On Demand with more to come through their METVault program as the shutdown stretches on.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) will present Angels in America Part One: Millennium Approaches by Tony Kushner. Set in the shadow of the AIDS crisis, Angels in America is a character-driven piece that combines gritty realism and elements of the fantastic. The show centers on two young couples. Prior and Louis are facing a dynamic shift in the wake of Prior's devastating AIDS diagnosis. Joe and Harper are Mormon transplants to the city, whose marriage is tested when Joe is offered a new job from his boss, the infamous Roy Cohn. Winner of Tony and Pulitzer prizes, 'The Great Work' comes to Frederick this April.

An unlikely bond forms between a bullied schoolboy and his mysterious new neighbor … one of whom has been young for a very long time. Based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist, this supernatural coming-of-age love story touches the heart and makes it race, too.

The Musical, written by award-winning FringeNYC show Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever playwright, Sarah Shulman,with lyrics by Caitlyn Joy, and music by Callan Holderbaum. This encore presentation will run for a limited time before making its way to FringeNYC in October. SUPER! The Musical is one of only three theatre for young audience shows chosen for inclusion in the festival.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents a new take on the classic, tangled fairytale that we all love. Written by Lane Riosley, this crazy-fun play combines the story of Rapunzel with the commedia style of performance. Watch as Rapunzel lets down her hair, finds adventure, and discovers the balance between absurdity and hilarity! When Gottel the Witch discovers a thief in her garden, she tricks him into exchanging his first-born daughter for a salad. Inspired by the Italian tradition of Commedia dell'arte - improvised comedy plays with few sets and props - this spin on the classic fairytale is hilarious and great for the entire family! Filled with lots of lazzi and witty fun, this commedia tale is a pure delight!

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents a grown up's prequel to Peter Pan, where a dozen actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters. An apprentice starcatcher (13 year-old Molly Aster) takes to the high seas with a trunk full of magic 'starstuff' and three orphan boys while being pursued by a boat-load of pirates. Peter and the Starcatcher was written by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys, Addams Family) with music by Wayne Barker. This adaptation is based on the 2006 novel of the same name by humorist Dave Barry and suspense writer Ridley Pearson.
