The album marks their first collection of newly recorded music in more than 12 years and was completed during the COVID-19 lockdown with the assistance of multi-instrumentalist Lloyd Maines, who co-produced the album alongside Ely. 

Earlier this month, The Flatlanders announced their new album Treasure of Love with the official video for “Sittin’ on Top of the World,” which was embraced by American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, and more.

“This video reflects the combined energy of The Flatlanders from many performances over the past 50 years! It’s a damn miracle!” said Joe Ely about the video. Jimmie Dale Gilmore added: “In a way, this video encapsulates the history of The Flatlanders.'

On Valentine's Day Eve (February 13, 2021), Food For Love, a benefit concert, will feature David Byrne, Jackson Browne, Nathaniel Rateliff, the Chicks, Kurt Vile and many more artists all performing to benefit the New Mexico Association of Food Banks.

Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore have been filling canvasses with music of the American West for decades, coming from two very different directions. The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents Ruthie Foster, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Carrie Rodriguez, the Lone Star State's diverse and celebrated songwriters, on November 8 at 8pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. Performing as part of of the Texas Troubadours project, these three distinctive voices come together for the first time to swap songs and collaborate.

It is always an exciting time when Texas celebrity Jaston Williams, of GREATER TUNA fame, comes into town. He has delighted and entertained audiences all over the world for years, and his stops at The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston have been no different. On the heels of Live @ Benaroya Hall's successful inaugural performance with Dwight Yoakam, they have expanded the eclectic offerings of their stellar first season by adding two more intimate music concerts: The Flatlanders on October 9, 2012 and Aaron Neville on February 19 and 20, 2013.

The WFUV Live at Zankel concert series, presented by Carnegie Hall in partnership with WFUV 90.7 FM, kicks off on Saturday, October 27 with a performance by John McCauley, performing with his principal band, Deer Tick, along with friends from side projects including Middle Brother and Diamond Rugs.
