Black Theatre Live in co-production with Stratford Circus Arts Centre has announced that they will tour new show Big Foot, an autobiographical coming-of-age tale from emerging company HighRise Theatre, written by Joseph Barnes-Phillips and directed by Dominic Garfield.

This summer will see two of the most powerful and award-winning voices of this century appear in concert together for the very first time. Kerry Ellis and Matt Cardlewill take to the stage at The Apex, Bury St. Edmunds for an epic evening of entertainment, for one-night only.

The smash-hit show, At Last - The Etta James Story, is set to tour this spring starring the sensational Vika Bull; marking its UK debut on the 28th March 2017 when it opens at Liverpool's Epstein Theatre.

The name Loyset Compere is not as familiar as Dufay or Josquin, but many-the Orlando Consort among them-believe that this Franco-Flemish composer deserves a place amongst the masters of the 15th century.

This will take place at The Chapel of Emanu-el, Today, February 16.

Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice is poised between two Empires - The Sceptered Isle and La Serenissima. In honor of the 400th anniversary of the death of Shakespeare and the 500th anniversary of the birth of the Venetian ghetto, The Floor of Heaven interweaves moments from Shakespeare's complex and revolutionary text with the play's original music and songs from the English-Venetian soundscape that Shakespeare's characters would have played and heard.

Casting was announced today for the HighTide production of Al Smith's debut play Harrogate. Nigel Lindsay joins Sarah Ridgeway, who starred in the original production at HighTide Festival 2015, for the London premiere at the Royal Court Theatre from 20 - 29 October and UK Tour. Richard Twyman, the newly appointed Artistic Director of English Touring Theatre, returns to direct Harrogate, which had an acclaimed sell-out run at the influential annual HighTide Festival in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.  

Following the success of their first three productions, Macbeth, She Called Me Mother, and The Diary of a Hounslow Girl, Black Theatre Live in association with Watford Palace Theatre and Stratford Circus Arts Centre are touring Hamlet around the UK with an all-black cast and creative team. Inaugural winner of the Roland Rees Bursary Mark Norfolk's adaptation casts Hamlet as a studious young black man who's forced to face the realities of his social identity, and rages against the injustice of his position.

Following a successful tour of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends, today London Classic Theatre announces the cast for its production of Waiting for Godot, as part of the company's 15th anniversary season. London Classic Theatre Artistic Director Michael Cabot directs Jonathan Ashley (Pozzo), Peter Cadden (Vladimir), Richard Heap (Estragon), Michael Keane (Lucky) and Sonja Zobel (A Boy). The production tours to 37 venues around the UK this autumn, starting at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury on 9 September.
