BWW Review: THE TYLER SISTER, Hampstead Theatre

Hampstead Theatre opens the new year with a heartwarming but generally forgettable play on their smaller stage. The Tyler Sisters follows three girls as they grow up and find their place in the world from 1990 to 2030. What the audience gets to see of this time frame in the life of women who might not like each other all the time but who are bound by blood is a series of single scenes for each one of the 40 years.

BWW Review: THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, Shakespeare's Globe

There's something magical about watching Shakespeare at the Globe theatre, especially on a sunny summer evening. The Merry Wives of Windsor is an intricate play with various subplots and a multitude of characters and in this production, director Elle While places a 1930s spin on things.

BWW Review: FOXFINDER, Ambassadors Theatre

The English countryside in crisis, a couple grieving the death of their son and the fox as the deadly enemy of man. First seen to critical acclaim in 2011 at the Finborough Theatre, Dawn King's darkly compelling, dystopian play Foxhunter comes to the West End in a rather disappointing revival, lacking in sufficient tension or drama.

BWW Review: LAIKA, Unicorn Theatre

Despite all the little people in the audience, the seating was a tight squeeze as the Unicorn had sold out, and then some, for the press night of their new show Laika. Following the story of the first dog in space, Bryony Hannah and Avye Leventis have teamed up to co-create a piece that not only wows the children, but also keeps the adults chaperoning them entertained as well.

BWW Review: TWILIGHT SONG, Park Theatre

When we think of Kevin Elyot, one of the first things that comes to mind is his magnificent 1994 comedy My Night with Reg, a touching play about gay lives revived at the Donmar Warehouse in 2015. Elyot's first play, Coming Clean, is about to be staged at The King's Head in a week's time, and now his final play, Twilight Song, receives its long-awaited premiere at Park Theatre.
