Full casting and creative team have been announced for WUTHERING HEIGHTS the brand-new adaptation of Emily Brontë's classic novel, opening at Royal & Derngate, Northampton from 24 April - 6 May, with a national press night on Friday 28 April ahead of a UK tour, playing Oxford, London, Coventry and Newcastle.

Directed by Miranda Cromwell and adapted by Nesrin Alrefaai and Matthew Spangler, The Beekeeper of Aleppo tells the story of Syrian refugees Nuri (Alfred Clay) and Afra (Roxy Faridany) as they flee their homeland. Lefteri based the original story on her experiences of meeting people in a refuge centre in Athens, and while Beekeeper is not a true tale, 'all stories are true in their own way', as Nuri reminds us.

Amanda Donohoe has had to withdraw for personal reasons.

Global superstar Natalia Osipova, Principal of the Royal Ballet, is to star in a brand new, contemporary dance production of 'CARMEN' on May 27th and 28th at London's Southbank Centre.  Multi award-winning Osipova will perform the title role in an imaginative new version of the classic tale devised by internationally renowned choreographer and director Didy Veldman.   

Samuel Beckett is no stranger to Jermyn Street Theatre. In 2012, Trevor Nunn’s All That Falls went on to become an international hit and in 2020 it saw Beckett Triple Bill with Nunn at the helm again. But times have changed and post-pandemic theatre (although one could say we’re not there yet) - as much as it strives to be the same as before - is different. And Beckett can be very dark. There’s something almost morbid in doing two of his lesser known short plays at the moment, but it works so well.

In the right hands, Ronald Harwood’s Olivier award-nominated tragicomedy The Dresser is poignant, hilarious and also heart-breaking. Terry Johnson’s new touring version captures the undercurrent of deep sorrow of the play in a this rather meta production about a touring theatre company.

This November, Jermyn Street Theatre continues its association with the work of Samuel Beckett with the 45th anniversary staging of his play Footfalls and the 40th of Rockaby.

During a week when comedian Joe Lycett legally changed his name by deed poll to Hugo Boss, ever dedicated to his craft, it felt fitting to see a revival of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. The comedy about identity and the elite has been revived at Perth Theatre.
