Kansas City Repertory Theatre Announces 2024 Tour Schedule For KCREP FOR ALL, March 7 - 17


Kansas City Repertory Theatre has announced the 2024 tour schedule of KCRep for All, a FREE community tour bringing the magic of theatre throughout Kansas City  in community centers, public libraries, and non-profit organization spaces. KCRep for All is in its third year and has been met with enthusiasm and glowing reviews.

The 20th Annual Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards were held on April 11 at the Holiday Inn Boston/Brookline. Founded by Beverly Creasey of the Journal Newspapers and Larry Stark of the TheaterMirror in 1997, the IRNE Awards recognize the extraordinary wealth of talent in the Boston theatre community.

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) today announced the nominees for the 20th Annual IRNE Awards, which honors the best of the previous year's actors, directors, choreographers, designers and companies across the full spectrum of large, mid-size and fringe theater companies.

Stoneham Theatre Nominated for Six IRNE Awards


Stoneham Theatre has been nominated for six awards by the Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE). The IRNE Awards recognize the work of playwrights, designers, actors, choreographers, and directors of small, mid-size, and fringe theatre companies throughout New England.

OSF-Commissioned ALL THE WAY Wins Five IRNE Awards


The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is delighted that the American Repertory Theatre (ART) production of Robert Schenkkan's All the Way, staged in the fall of 2013 and directed by OSF Artistic Director Bill Rauch, received five Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards. All the Way, which had its world premiere at OSF in 2012, is now playing on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre through June 29, 2014.

Huntington Theatre Company has received 29 IRNE Award nominations from the Independent Reviewers of New England for its 2013 productions. The Committee recognized the Huntington with the following nominations:

Reagle Music Theatre Nominated for 10 IRNE Awards


Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston has been nominated for 10 Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards in the Large Theater category for shows from the company's 2012 season. "Bye Bye Birdie" received eight nominations, including Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, Moonstruck, 30 Rock). "A Chorus Line" and "My Fair Lady" each earned one nomination. Winners will be announced on April 29 at the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama, 539 Tremont Street, Boston. A pre-ceremony reception begins at 7:00 p.m. The awards ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m.

The Nominating Committee of the Independent Reviewers of New England has honored the F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company with eight (8) 2012 Award Nominations for their completely sold-out and unanimously acclaimed productions of the Broadway musicals "CAROUSEL" which opened at The Arsenal Center for the Arts on July 29, 2011 and "SPRING AWAKENING" which opened at The Arsenal Center for the Arts on November 4, 2011. The ceremony will take place tonight, April 23.

On Monday, April 19, the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama hosted the 2009-2010 IRNE Awards ceremony, honoring the best in Boston theater. A party for all of the nominees was held from 7-8 p.m. followed by the awards ceremony. Many Broadway names were honored, including actress Rachel York and directors Diane Paulus and Kenny Leon.
