The Purple Rose Theatre Company celebrates its 100-play milestone by bringing back an audience favorite,  "Vino Veritas," by Detroit playwright David MacGregor.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company continues its strong tradition of producing world premieres and theatrical favorites for its 2016-2017 season. Artistic Director Guy Sanville poses the question, "Do you ever wish you had a second chance to meet someone again for the first time? Our 26th season is an enchanting mix that will feature two world premiere comedies by Michigan playwrights, a revival and a Pulitzer prize-winning American classic, all of which explore this question with humor, magic, mayhem and heart."

The Purple Rose Theatre Company has announced its 2014 / 2015 Season, which will feature a Midwest premiere of an Off-Broadway sensation, a Purple Rose take on a classic comedy, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by a PRTC benefactor, and a world premiere zombie thriller. The theatre company's 24th professional season will include: Annapurna by Sharr White, Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, Talley's Folly by Lanford Wilson, and 2AZ by Michael Brian Ogden.

Professional theaters from across Michigan will share the spotlight August 19 when The 2013 Wilde Awards are presented at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield. Presented by EncoreMichigan.com, the most comprehensive resource for news and information about the state's professional theater industry, The Wilde Awards were established by Pride Source Media Group in 2002 to honor the excellent work produced by Michigan's professional theaters.

"In the Next Room or the vibrator play," by Sarah Ruhl, opens tomorrow (Friday, June 22) and runs through July 15 at Performance Network Theatre, directed by Suzi Regan and featuring John Seibert, Leslie Hull, Aphrodite Nikolovski and Hazen Cuyler. See below for photos from the show!
