Five choreographers, Artis Smith, Germaine Salsberg, Kevin Predmore, Traci Stanfield and Nicole Ohr, will collaborate with current and graduated Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music composers for a program of new contemporary, modern, and tap dances, performed by 25+ dancers, each dance set to an original composition by a different composer - Yuriy Lehki, Daniel Rote, Jacob Szilagi, and Sean Vigneau-Britt. The program will also feature repertory from Smith and Salsberg ('Full Moon Waxing' and 'Down the Rabbit Hole'). The two 2 performances, Saturday December 2nd at the Brooklyn Music School, is a presentation of Artis Smith and Germaine Salsberg, artistic directors, and The Department of Kinesiology and Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College.

The Italian singer Silvia Tancredi returns to the 'Big Apple' for some gigs where she will perform - unplugged - in some venues in Manhattan, to present her new album 'In Limine' (Imagina Production/Edel). 

After the release of the new radio single “I do it for you”, comes out in all digital platform “IN LIMINE” (Imagina Production/Edel), the new album of the italian singer SILVIA TANCREDI. The LP consists of 11 tracks, including a cover “True Colors” by Cindy Lauper, and “The Cage”, song chosen for the soundtrack “CAM GIRL”, the movie directed by Mirca Viola, also available Remix by Jeffrey Jey (Eiffel 65). The album also includes a duet with male singer Anthony Morgan, and an important collaboration of great vocalist of the Gospel scene of New York City.

The Songwriters Hall of Fame inducted another batch of legends last night, as it welcomed Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Mick Jones and Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Holly Knight, JD Souther and Tony Hatch.

Gavin Larsen, former principal dancer of Oregon Ballet Theatre and on the faculty of the Oregon Ballet Theatre School, will be a member of the faculty for the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet's Summer Program in Shreveport, Louisiana from July 23-27, 2012.
