Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) and Kate Maguire (Artistic Director, CEO) have announced casting for two of its summer 2023 shows: Million Dollar Quartet, a three-time Tony Award–nominated once-in-a-lifetime musical evening back by popular demand with some of the same cast as 2017 and Photograph 51, an intriguing portrait of the race to discover the mysteries of the DNA double helix.

The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and an award recipient of the GRANTS FOR ARTS PROJECTS from the National Endowment for the Arts; Once, a Tony Award-winning musical; Songs For a New World, the first musical by a Tony Award winner; Dracula, a classic gothic tale of horrors; and Edward Albee's Seascape, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play. 

OXY ARTS, Occidental College's public art space rooted in social justice and community organizing, has announced a collaboration with Paul Holdengräber, the renowned interviewer and Founder and Director of Onassis Los Angeles, a center for dialogue, and dublab, a platform for discovery and the cultivation of next-wave music, arts and culture.

Following a four-week workshop production last September, legendary performance artist John Fleck's latest work will get a full, world premiere production in 2022. it's alive, IT'S ALIVE, an outrageous musical satire that reflects on our national panic in the face of the pandemic, opens at the Odyssey Theatre on February 19, with performances continuing through March 20.

The 35th annual Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival will offer two consecutive weekends of virtual programming in March 2021: a virtual Writer’s Retreat followed by a weekend of traditional events presented online. The Writer’s Retreat, March 19-21, will include online writing workshops, author events, and a writing marathon.

La MaMa presents the premiere of legendary playwright Jean-Claude van Itallie's The Fat Lady Sings at La MaMa's Downstairs Theater (66 East 4th Street). Directed by Drama Desk Award winner David Schweizer, the production is scheduled to begin previews on March 21, 2019, with an opening night on March 25, 2019 (running run through April 7, 2019). The cast will feature New York City Opera sensation, Lauren Flanigan, and actor, Tony Torn, known for his celebrated experimental theater work. They will be joined by Jake Horowitz, Nancy McArthur and Jose Useche.

Richmond Triangle Players is proud to announce that theater legend Charles Busch will launch RTP's 2018-19 Cabaret Season with his acclaimed show "My Kinda 60s".  Performances are Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8, both at 8 pm.

Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) takes the McCaw Hall stage on Pride weekend to honor 50 years of British rock and pop royalty in God Save the Queens. The British are coming! From the swinging '60s to today's biggest hits this British invasion is so lush and flashy it edges on revolutionary. God Save the Queens is a musical journey through the UK artists, generation by generation, that have reigned supreme, from The Beatles, Queen, and Elton John, to Coldplay, Adele and One Direction. Pop singer, performance artist, and finalist from "America's Got Talent" Prince Poppycock joins the chorus as their special guest.

Charles Busch, Tony Award Nominee as a playwright for The Tale of the Allergist's Wife comes to South Bend, Indiana to perform his highly-acclaimed show My Kinda 60's on Wednesday, January 31st at 7:30PM. His Music Director will be Tom Judson. Tickets are $25.

Director Stan Zimmerman has found his quartet of actors for the first major revival of Justin Tanner's acclaimed comedy play, Heartbreak Help.

Between the two of them, drag icons Sherry Vine and Joey Arias have more than 50 years of performing experience combined. Not only that, but their working relationship and enduring friendship began more than 20 years ago. Though they've toured with one another around the world over the years, it's been a few years since they've teamed up for a big show in New York, where they first met. Thankfully, the legendary divas will reunite onstage in the city for a new show at Feinstein's/54 Below, as part of Garth Schilling's (also known as Miss Vodka Stinger) drag-themed Thursday night series called LATE NIGHT DRAG. The run will also include Cacophony Daniels, Marti Gould Cummings, Varla Jean Merman, Ray DeForest, RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE star Alexis Michelle, and Miss Vodka Stinger herself with the Martha Rayes. Prior to Vine and Arias' show, the pair pressed pause on their first day of rehearsal to speak with us over the phone about their individual careers, more than two decades of collaboration, and reuniting onstage in the city that brought them together.

Tom Judson, lately best known as musical director and accompanist to the legendary Charles Busch, will present Mostly From the Movies, a rare solo evening of cabaret at Pangea on Monday evening, May 8 at 7 PM.

Each year, more than 250 individuals come together to support this unique organization and celebrate iconic leaders from the arts sector. This year, PS122's Spring Gala 2017 at the Diamond Horseshoe honors Alan Cumming, awards a shining star to Ben Rodríguez-Cubeñas and welcomes new Executive Artistic Director, Jenny Schlenzka. 

Just as death knells and obituaries are beginning to appear in the press for cabaret in Los Angeles (usually by inexperienced journalists in their 20s who seem to think that entertainment is restricted to their computers, IPads and IPhones), proof to the contrary arrives in the form of one Charles Busch in "THAT GIRL/ THAT BOY" at Rockwell stage and table on March 13th and 14th . With sold out and standing room only crowds, not to mention multiple standing ovations, clearly cabaret's heart was beating strong and proud.
