In a landmark moment for the arts and community engagement, Elm Shakespeare Company has announced a $250,000 contribution from renowned philanthropist Alexander Clark, marking a new era of growth and innovation for the organization.

Elm Shakespeare will return for its 28th season of free Shakespeare in the park with professional artists from all around the country. This year's production of Merry Wives of Windsor, running August 17 - September 3rd, will be a wild romp guaranteed to make people of all ages laugh.

Elm Shakespeare, a New Haven based professional theater company with the mission of igniting a spark in our shared humanity through Shakespeare, has received this generous gift from The Theatre League.

Performances aren't the only thing to which Elm Shakespeare Company is returning in 2022. Their annual fundraiser gala will bring Shakespeare seaside this year on September 14, with a silent auction and live paddle raise at Amarante's Sea Cliff in New Haven.

Following a two-year hiatus, Elm Shakespeare Company will return to Edgerton Park for the 2022 Season with Shakespeare's The Tempest. Producing Artistic Director, Rebecca Goodheart, returns to direct the production which features nationally acclaimed actor and Artistic Director of African American Shakespeare Company, L. Peter Callender in the role of the wizard, Prospero. See photos from the production!
