Next we will move onto another musical with Bye Bye Birdie followed by the holiday classic A Christmas Story. We will journey back in time to the California gold rush with Paint Your Wagon, get our funny on with Lend Me a Tenor and close out the season with Oliver! Please join us by becoming a season subscriber. We have many options to accommodate everyone to help support The Playhouse."

Everyone is looking for a way out, and Tony has found his through dance. Follow the journey of Tony and his friends as we relive the disco era in Brooklyn. Bye, Bye Birdie October 12-29, 2017 Synopsis: A loving send-up of the 1960's small -town America, teenagers and rock & roll! Bye Bye Birdie will take us back to the days of Ed Sullivan and everyone's teenage heartthrob. Conrad has been drafted and one lucky girl gets to kiss him goodbye on live TV. Featuring high energy songs and dances and all American fun.

A Christmas Story November 16 - December 3, 2017 Synopsis: He's back! One boy, one holiday wish, and a world that seems to be conspiring to make it certain it doesn't come true. Join us as in all its pink-bunny-suit, glowing-leg-lamp, triple-dog-daring glory. This is a perfect holiday treat for the whole family.

Paint Your Wagon January 18 - February 4, 2018 Synopsis: In California in May 1853, Ben Rumson strikes gold and establishes a community in his own name. The show follows the progress of the town as hundreds of men come to dig for gold. But there's a problem: the town has no women! That is soon remedied and the town competes for the affections of too few women. Filled with gorgeous standards such as "They Call the Wind Maria," "I Talk to the Trees," and "Wand'rin' Star," Paint Your Wagon is Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's sweepingly ambitious and surprisingly realistic take on freedom and family in the Gold Rush-happy America of 1853.

Lend Me A Tenor March 1-18, 2018 It is the biggest night in the history of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company. The world-famous tenor, Tito Merelli, "Il Stupendo," is to perform his greatest role, Otello, at the ten-year anniversary gala season opener. Henry Saunders, the opera's executive director, has high hopes that Merelli's performance will put Cleveland on the operatic map. However, at the final dress rehearsal of Otello, Merelli is nowhere to be found, Saunders is in a panic, and, along with Max Garber, Saunders's personal assistant, they scramble to figure out what to do. From here on, the play unfolds into a riotous and unpredictable explosion of mistaken identities and renewed love! This screwball comedy is guaranteed to have you teary-eyed with laughter.

Oliver April 12-29, 2018 Synopsis: The award-winning musical adaptation of the classic Dicken's novel springs to life with some of the most memorable characters and songs to ever hit the stage.
