Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF kicks off its 2015-2016 Children's Series with a World Premiere adaptation of The Brothers Grimm's The Frog and the Princess. Adapted by Brandon Roberts (2014's Rapunzel and 2013's Sleeping Beauty), the family-friendly production will play from June 18 - July 26, 2015 in the Goldman Theater. Individual tickets ($9 - $15) will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, May 5. Group tickets (orders of 10+) and Children's Series Subscriptions are available now by calling (407) 447-1700 ext. 1 or in person at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins Street).

Prince Gerwyn wants to marry the beautiful princess-but he'll have to get through her evil stepmother first. With her magical golden ball, the Step Queen casts a spell that turns Gerwyn into a slimy frog forever. Will Gerwyn and his Princess live hoppily ever after? Find out in this quirky and interactive fairy tale adaptation, with our signature Orlando Shakes twist!

"Families have fallen in love with Brandon Roberts' summer fairy tales," said Director of Education Anne Hering. "His colorful characters grab the attention of little ones, and parents appreciate his smart humor. This season's offering will include puppets and a whole lot of magic!"

The cast and creative team for The Frog and the Princess will be announced at a later date.
