The Boxcar Children continues this weekend at The REP (along with supporting partner, the Orlando Utilities Commission). The play for families and young audiences is based on the popular book series, written by Gertrude Chandler Warner. This production runs through May 20, 2012 with public performances on Saturdays at 12pm & 4pm and Sundays at 2pm & 5:30pm.

The Boxcar Children has been enjoyed by generations of young readers who have cherished the spirited Depression-era adventures of the Alden children. Orphaned and in danger of being sent to separate foster homes, the four siblings run away and make their home in an abandoned railroad boxcar. Pursued by authorities and a mysterious stranger, the children discover the rewards and perils of life on the run, as well as the joy of keeping their family together.
