The annual Orlando Cabaret Festival, hosted by Mad Cow Theatre will feature two Broadway acts on this years stage. The festival will feature more than 40 singers and comedians during its run from April 30th to May 16th.

The festival will include performances by KT Sullivan April 30th to May 2nd, The Broadway Boys, May 6th through 9th, and Karen Akers, May 13th through 16th.

KT Sullivan has been hailed as "Cabaret's Crown Princess". Her shimmering soprano voice and interpretive skills make her one of the hardest working and most in demand singers in cabaret, appearing frequently at The Oak Room of New York's Algonquin Hotel. KT has headlined at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center and The Caramoor Festival performing internationally at The Spoleto Festival and the Adelaide Festival in Australia. KT's Broadway credits include The Three Penny Opera with Sting, the play Broadway directed by George Abbott, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Returning for the third year, this remarkable 6-man group is made up of veterans of the Broadway productions of Jersey Boys, Mary Poppins, Rent, 42nd Street, Hairspray, and many more! The Broadway Boys is a collection of the hottest male voices currently working on the New York stage. Through their dynamic vocal prowess and redefining arrangements, the Boys add elements of Pop, Funk, Gospel, Jazz, and Folk to showtunes and classic pop songs.

One of the most arresting and successful concert and cabaret stars, Karen Akers has appeared in prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl and New York's premiere nightspots such as Café Carlyle, Rainbow & Stars, Le Jazz Au Bar, and The Oak Room at The Algonquin Hotel.

She appeared on Broadway as one of the original stars of the Tony Award-winning musical Grand Hotel as well as Nine for which she won a Theatre World Award as well as a Tony Award nomination. Her film roles include the femme fatale in Mike Nichol's Heartburn opposite Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep and Woody Allen's The Purple Rose of Cairo

MAD COW THEATRE announces the return of an exciting signature event for Downtown Orlando - The Eighth Annual Orlando Cabaret Festival. The Festival will feature cabaret artists and acts from Central Florida and beyond in a series of 40 evening and lunchtime performances April 30 - May 16, 2010.

MAD COW THEATRE will once again turn their intimate theatre space into a lively cabaret nightspot. One of the features of the Festival will be a series of weekday lunchtime performances designed especially for downtown workers. The performances will last 45 minutes, allowing workers to bring their lunch (box lunches will also be available at the theatre), see the show, and make it back to their offices within an hour.
