'NIGHT, MOTHER Comes to Surfside Players' Second Stage Tonight

Surfside Players announces its Second Stage production 'NIGHT, MOTHER, a drama by Marsha Norman, running tonight, April 19-28, 2013.

Jessie and her mother share a small house on an isolated country road. Jessie's father is dead; her loveless marriage ended in divorce; her absent son is a petty thief; her last job didn't work out and, in general, her life is stale and unprofitable. As the play begins Jessie asks for her father's service revolver and calmly announces that she intends to kill herself. At first her mother refuses to take her seriously, but as Jessie sets about tidying the house and making lists of things to be looked after, her sense of desperate helplessness begins to build...

'Night, Mother, by Marsha Norman, stars Victoria Lee Smith and Nadine Antaillia and is directed by Joan Dunn. Performs for two weekends, April 19 - 28, Fridays and Saturdays 8:00pm and Sundays 2:00pm. All tickets are $10.00, and Opening Night is Buy One Get One Free. (Caution: Contains adult themes.) In Brevard County, from eastbound 520 or 528, turn RIGHT on A1A.
From eastbound Pineda, Eau Gallie, or 192, turn LEFT on A1A.
Drive into Cocoa Beach, and turn west on South Fifth Street.

The lobby is on the left side of the building; take the left road (Ramp Road) to Sunrise for additional parking.
