The Maxwell C. King Center for Performing Arts, Inc., of Eastern Florida State College launched its third ticket raffle on July 1st. We are happy to announce that Pamilla Desai, of Indialantic is the winner and will now have the opportunity to attend every show at the King Center for the year 2016 including country, jazz and rock concerts, comedy, holiday favorites, family fun entertainment and more! The drawing was held during the intermission of A Christmas Carol on December 19th.

"I couldn't believe it because I never win anything," said Desai, on her reaction when she found out she had won two tickets to every King Center presented show in 2016. "Finally, lady luck decided to take a peek. When this happened, I thought I would also try my luck at my first Powerball ticket too! I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to attend any show I want to see for a whole year. We are really fortunate to have the King Center bring these wonderful shows to Melbourne." Desai has already attended her first concert of 2016: teenage singer Jackie Evancho who performed on Jan. 17. "It was awesome," Desai said. Next, she is looking forward to seeing Penn & Teller on February 4, ABBA Mania on February 11 and Yanni on February 14.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's ticket raffle. The money raised will go towards King Center programming and the Endowment. The King Center Board of Directors and staff are indebted to Desai and all the generous people who participated in the fundraiser.

All proceeds benefit the King Center for the Performing Arts, a direct support organization of Eastern Florida State College and is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
