DADDY LONG LEGS and More Highlight Winter Park Playhouse's 2017-18 Season of Musicals

 

The Winter Park Playhouse, Central Florida's only professional musical theatre, announces their 2017-2018 Mainstage Series of musical productions.

Current annual subscription renewals are going on now, new annual 6-show Series subscription sales begin February 14 and "You Pick Three" mini-subscriptions, as well as single tickets, go on sale March 10, 2017.

In honor of the 15th Anniversary of The Winter Park Playhouse, all 6- show series subscribers will receive 15% off of the established price with a 6- show annual subscription priced at only $214 for Adult Evening and $199 for Senior Evening (62 years and older). Matinee series subscriptions are all priced at $163 for all 6 shows.

In an ongoing effort to serve the community, accommodate demand and make their popular musicals accessible, The Playhouse will offer two preview shows - one evening and one matinee prior to opening night- at a reduced $20 per ticket price.

Life Could Be A Dream - September 15 - October 8, 2017

Florida premiere! A high-energy musical comedy about a doo-wop singing group, preparing to enter the Big Whopper Radio contest to help them realize their dreams! Daddy Long Legs - November 17-18 & November 30- December 17, 2017

Music and Lyrics by Paul Gordon / Book by John Caird/ Based on a novel by Jean Webster

Regional Premiere! A gorgeous Off- Broadway musical based on the classic novel which inspired the 1955 movie. This heartwarming Cinderella story, in the spirit of the beloved Jane Austen and "Downton Abbey" is about a witty and winsome young orphan, her mysterious benefactor and the deep friendship that develops.

Babes In Hollywood: The Music of Garland and Rooney - January 26 - February 24, 2018

Nunsense A-Men! - March 16 - 25 & April 5-21, 2018

This hysterical musical comedy is the original Off-Broadway musical Nunsense with all of the characters portrayed by men! Think of it as "Mrs.Doubtfire enters the convent." The little sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters so they put on a variety show to raise funds for the burial.

The Honky Tonk Angels - May 11- 20 & May 31 - June 10, 2018
