Bring family and friends to enjoy a fun-filled day of events to delight in the talents of our community and salute our great nation! Music director and principal conductor Christopher Confessore leads the Brevard Symphony Orchestra for a free July 4th concert, Symphony Under the Stars on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Cocoa Riverfront Park. Concert begins at 8:00pm, fireworks at 9:15pm. This concert is FREE and open to music lovers of all ages!

With an estimated 14,000 in attendance each year, this tremendously popular event has become an annual Brevard County tradition. Guests will experience food, fun, and festivities throughout the day in downtown Cocoa Village. The evening will be capped with a LIVE performance by the BSO featuring fabulous patriotic and pops classics, while an over-the-water fireworks display dazzles attendees. Fireworks are presented by the Cities of Cocoa and Rockledge. Food and beverages will be on sale at the park. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for viewing.

Prior to the performance, guests can visit the Brevard Symphony Orchestra's event table and enter for a chance to win two tickets to an individual concert of the BSO's 2014/15 subscription concert season "Journey." The BSO will also have a free children's area with a mini instrument petting zoo and other musical activities. Meet Lite Rock 99.3's Mike and Mind and visit the Lite Rock Prize Booth to play the Wheel of Prizes. The Brethren o'the Space Coast will be on-hand in full pirate regalia to assist the BSO by volunteering and assisting in the BSO's children's activities area.

The BSO is also offering attendees who purchase new season subscriptions at the event, one free ticket to the BSO's 2014/15 season opener for each subscription purchased. Season subscribers save 30-40% off individual tickets. Full-time teachers and active military save 50% off subscriptions in areas two and three. Tickets are available for grade school students for as little as $6 per performance for up to two guests.

Beat the heat! Enjoy a pre-concert "Red, Hot Boomin BBQ" hosted by the BSO beginning at 6:30pm. Guests will enjoy reserved up-close parking, BBQ dinner in the comfort of the Cocoa Civic Center, V.I.P. seating and more!
