The BLUEBARN Theatre continues its 2012-2013 Season with WHO KILLED SANTA? by Neil Haven, which opens Friday November 23rd and runs through December 15th. BLUEBARN founding member Hughston Walkinshaw directs, with scenic design by Martin Scott Marchitto, costumes by Jill Anderson, lighting design by Carol Wisner, Sound Design by Martin Magnuson and Choreography by Jason DeLong.

Shows run Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m. Performances on December 1, 7, 8, & 9 are SOLD OUT! Ticket prices are $25 for adults; and $20 for students, seniors 65+, TAG members, and groups of 10 or more.

It’s Christmas! And you’re invited to Santa’s Annual Cocktail Party along with Frosty, Tiny Tim, Rudolph, the Little Drummer Boy and Santa’s newest friend Chastity, the “Little” Drummer Girl. It’s a jolly good time till Santa meets a gruesome candy cane end and the very fate of Christmas is thrown into jeopardy. Crack the North Pole’s most controversial caper... WHO KILLED SANTA? The audience decides the verdict in this hilarious holiday choose-your-own-ending who-dun-it!

Director Hughston Walkinshaw is a founding member of Omaha’s BLUEBARN Theatre and a graduate of the Conservatory of Theatre and Film at SUNY Purchase. His BLUEBARN directing credits include Reform School Timmy!, Go Go Boys from Planet X!, Santaland Diaries, Silent Night of the Lambs, Mad About the Boy!, Edward the Second and Veux Carre’. Other regional credits include Radio Elephant - Great Plains Theatre Conference; Give ‘Em Hell Harry! - Omaha Community Playhouse; The Wind in the Willows - The Rose; Breaking the Code – SNAP! Productions; The Event - Kansas City Fringe Festival; Six Characters in Search of an Author - Rockhurst University. Hughston is also an actor and will next be playing Edgar Allan Poe in the Coterie Theatre’s Kansas City production of Tell Tale Electric Poe.

Familiar favorites and newcomers join together on the BLUEBARN stage for this holiday who-dun-it. BLUEBARN founding member Nils Haaland and veterans Bill Grennan, Shane Staiger, and Jennifer McGill welcome fellow cast members Eric Green and Bambi Stofer. And yes, Bambi is playing the role of Rudolph! These agile actors bring a multitude of characters to life, along with a few special cameo surprises.

The BLUEBARN Theatre has been bringing professionally-produced plays to area audiences since its inception in 1989. Since that time, BLUEBARN has produced over 90 plays and has established itself as Omaha’s premier Contemporary Theatre company.
