The Lyric Theatre presents its first show of 2012. XANADU "Rolls" onto the Plaza stage! It runs from January 25- February 1.

Purchase Your Tickets Online Starting Tuesday, January 3 at http://www.lyrictheatreokc.com/shows/xanadu. 

This over-the-top roller-skating musical spoofs the outrageously bad 1980s film about a beautiful muse who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach and inspires a struggling artist to pursue his dreams.

Performances are from January 25-February 1, 2012 at Lyric at the Plaza; 1725 NW 16th Street OKC. It is on Tuesday-Thursday @ 7:30pm; Friday and Saturday @ 8:00pm; and Saturday Matinee at 2:00pm.

Lyric's Thelma Gaylord Academy also announces it's Spring 2012 student productions.

Enter "A Whole New World" with Lyric's Thelma Gaylord Academy's productions of SWEENEY TODD (grades 8-12) and Disney’s ALADDIN JR. (Grades 2-7).

SWEENEY TODD is a 1979 musical thriller with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and libretto by Hugh Wheeler. The musical is based on the 1973 play Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Christopher Bond.

Performances Dates for SWEENEY TODD are April 26, 27 and 28 at 7 pm and April 28 at 2 pm

Disney's ALADDIN JR. is a stage adaptation of the Disney hit film. Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, audiences' spirits will soar with excitement.

Performance dates for Disney's ALADDIN JR. are May 4 & 5 at Lyric's Plaza Theatre.
