Write Act Repertory continues their 2012 Mainstage Season with the West Coast Premiere after a successful East Coast run of Thomas J. Misuraca's original musical, Geeks! The Musical! after a successful six-month run on the East Coast.

Write Act Repertory's Producing Artistic Director John Lant in Association with Musical Geek Productions presents Thomas J. Misuraca's Geeks! The Musical!. Book and lyrics by Thomas J. Misuraca, Direction by Rick Hamilton, Music Composition by Ruth Judkowitz, Musical Direction and Arrangements by Rocco Vitacco with Choreography by Mary Lauren and Produced by John Lant. Costume Design by Justine Rivera, Marketing and Publicity by Erinn Conlon, and Associate Producer Samantha L. Vella.

Just in time for New York Comic Con, this celebrated new original musical previews on Thursday, October 4th at 8:00 PM with Press Opening on Friday, October 5th at 8:00 PM. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays nights at 8 PM and Matinee Sundays at 3 PM through Sunday, October 28th, 2012. Shows dates are October 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th.

Geeks! The Musical! follows the adventures of a gaggle of geeks through a Comic Book/Sci-Fi Convention. Will the geek boy find true love and a mint copy of Batman #92? Will the artist and Goth girl sell their avant-garde comic? Will the has-been sci-fi actor get cast in the remake of his old TV show? These questions and more will be answered as they sing, dance and debate if Batman could beat Spider-Man in a fight! Be square, be there!

Geeks! The Musical! stars Adam Biner, Eli Bosnick, Leanne Brunn, Maggie Conley, Zachary Conner, John D'Arcangelo, Ayelet Firstenberg, Khallid Graham, Paul Anthony Hanegan, DaWoyne A. HIll, Jim Ku, Megan Lacerenza, Danny Moreno, Vicki Oceguera, and MerEdith Owens, and Jason Spina.

Tom Misuraca (Writer) has had one-act plays produced in New York City, Hollywood, Chicago, Boston, San Diego, Madison, Brooklyn, Long Island and England. He has won audience favorite awards at PianoFight's ShortLived 2.0, Bellarmine University's Anything Galileo Festival , YES Summer Short, The Writer Speaks, MonoSlam and won three years in a row at the Tehachapi Community Theatre's Ten-Minute Play Competition. His horror/comedy, The ParaAbnormals, is current playing to sold out houses at Zombie Joe's Underground in North Hollywood. He is an avid comic book collector, "Doctor Who" fanatic and "Star Wars" geek.

Ruth Judkowitz (Composer) is a lyricist/composer/arranger. Her orchestral pieces have been played from Los Angeles to Guam. She is the Musical Director and founder of the Voices of Conscience Chorus and performs throughout the L.A. area in support of social justice causes. In a previous incarnation, she was a sound designer for numerous award-winning plays in the world of equity-waiver theater, garnering several Drama-Logue Awards and an Ovation nomination.
