THE ADVENTURE OF THE TOLLING BELL, an old-time Sherlock Holmes radio mystery reading, will be presented by The Viking Theater Company on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at The Salmagundi Mystery Book Club Lower Gallery, 47 Fifth Avenue, New York City (between 11th and 12th Streets). $10.00 suggested donation.

First broadcast, April 10, 1948 as part of "The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" radio series, this story was suggested by an incident in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Golden Pince Nez".

The "Adventure of the Tolling Bell" takes place in the beautiful English countryside where the famous Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are taking a brief vacation before they return to their arduous work at Baker Street. This will be a live reading of the original radio script.

Starring: Charlotte Arnoux, Irene Hourigan, Catherine Kelly, John Kelly, Ashton Crosby, Zachary Tomlinson and Raymond O. Wagner. Produced and directed by April James.
