The Theatre Project is proud to present THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP as part of their 5th Anniversary Season. TP&co, the ensemble company of The Theatre Project, revives the campy, creepy comedy for a strictly limited engagement this fall. THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP will take the stage of the historic Players Theatre in the heart of Greenwich Village from November 12 through November 21, 2015.

TP&co unwraps a revival of Charles Ludlam's classic satire of Victorian melodrama, Gothic horror stories and Hitchcock suspense; in which werewolves, vampires and mummies terrorize the inhabitants of an English manse. THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP starts on a dark, stormy night, when Lady Enid arrives at the eerie estate of her new husband and strange things begin to happen as she investigates the mystery of Irma Vep, whose portrait looms dramatically over the fireplace. With all of the characters portrayed by just two actors - this farcical spoof of gothic melodrama rips on classic films in the horror and psychological thriller genre, from Wuthering Heights to Rebecca and The Mummy's Curse.

THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP is the third production in The Theatre Project's Fifth Anniversary Season. Featuring Dominic Sellers and Tyler Nye, just two actors swap wigs, accents, and costumes to embody every single player. TheaterMania says "Sellers and Nye are over-the-top ridiculous" as they transform between eight Victorian fops, adventurers, and monsters in this thrilling two-hander.

THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP runs exclusively at The Players Theatre (115 Macdougal Street between West 3rd and Minetta Lane), with performances at 7:00PM every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from November 12 through November 21, 2015. Tickets and Group Sales are now available for purchase at www.TheTheatreProject.org. Tickets range from $40 - $60, and you may call OvationTix at 866-811-4111 or The Players Theatre Box Office at 212-475-1449. Tickets may also be purchased at the theatre box office, in person, one hour prior to performances.
