JOE CHARNITSKI'S FUNERAL is the true story of two eulogies, eight years apart, and all the living and laughing and crying that happened in between.

Joe shared a name with his father (and grandfather, and great-grandfather) but he didn't share his father's love of the small Pennsylvania town in which they had both grown up. When he left to pursue his vague dreams of show business in NYC, Joe knew he'd never live in that small town again...and then he did...and what happened when he returned would challenge him and change him forever.

Written and performed by New York based writer, performer and storyteller Joe Charnitski, JOE CHARNITSKI'S FUNERAL is a celebration of fathers and sons, little town blues and swallowing your pride when do you do go home again.

Joe Charnitski is a Moth Slam winning storyteller who had his story Haunted, Abandoned, Insane featured on The Moth podcast in October 2016. He has appeared at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, the Nuyorican Poets Café, the Magnet Theater and other venues and shows throughout New York City. He was the Associate Producer of the short film anthology show Exposure on Syfy. JOE CHARNITSKI'S FUNERAL is his first long form storytelling show.
