59E59 Theaters announces that THE ROAD TO DAMASCUS, written by Tom Dulack and directed by Michael Parva, is joining 59E59 Theaters' inaugural 5A Season. Produced by The Directors Company, THE ROAD TO DAMASCUS begins performances on Friday, January 16 for a limited engagement thought Sunday, March 1. Opening Night is set for Tuesday, January 27.

Riddled with international intrigue, Tom Dulack's prescient play (first conceived in 2007) imagines a world where the first black African Pope is in the Vatican, and the first third party President in American history is in the White House. With America under threat and a full-scale civil war raging in Syria, the President must act. Will the Pope intervene directly in American foreign policy in Syria, or will he acquiesce?

This scorching thriller is the fourth (and final) show announced for 59E59 Theaters' hit inaugural 5A Season. THE ROAD TO DAMASCUS joins the previously announced BAUER (now playing), LIFT (October) and LONESOME TRAVELER (March). The 5A Season began with the sold-out, critically acclaimed THE PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE in July.

The single ticket price for each show in the 5A Season is $70 ($49 for 59E59 Members). Tickets are available by calling Ticket Central at 212-279-4200 or online at www.59e59.org.
