Casting has been announced for the new romantic sci-fi comedy, TECH SUPPORT, written and directed by Debra Whitfield, produced by Algonquin Seaport Theater and Pier 17 Productions. The show is running for a limited two-week engagement, October 17th-28, 2011, prior to its Off-Broadway run.

Anna Cody will star as Pamela Stark, the time traveling heroine whose life is turned upside down when, instead of providing assistance with her printer, the tech support guy, "Chip," offers her choices for different centuries. Pam miraculously finds herself first in 1919, then 1946 and 1978. In each era, this reluctant time-traveler saves lives as she bounces from decade to decade. Pam's emotional and witty journey finally ends with one last rescue-her own.

Also featured are Stuart Zagnit (THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE, SEUSSICAL), Maria Silverman (A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE), Brandon O'Sullivan and Jenny Vallancourt.

The set designer is Joe Arnow, costumes by A. Christina Giannini and sound design by Ross Jeffcoat.

DEBRA WHITFIELD has directed award-winning productions in New York City and throughout the country. TRIFLES won the Beaux Arts Da Vinci Award for Best Revival in New York and her production of IN THE BELLY OF THE BEAST, for Florida Studio Theatre, received the Best Play Award from Sarasota Magazine. Debra directed THE BANANA MONOLOGUES which has just been nominated for Outstanding Solo Production by the Midtown International Theatre Festival. TECH SUPPORT was given a workshop production earlier this year at Manhattan Repertory Theatre.

In existence since 2004, Algonquin Theater Productions has previously produced the Off Broadway shows SESSIONS (300 performances and Best Musical of Guadalajara for 2011), THE DEVIL AND BILLY MARKHAM and AN EVENING AT THE CARLYLE. Currently playing are THE DEREK JETER PLAYS.

Pier 17 Productions debuts with TECH SUPPORT.

The Algonquin Seaport Theater is a unique new performance space with panoramic views of the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges. It is located on the second floor of Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport.
