'Sex, Drugs, Clinton, & Me' Has Workshop Performances

Department of "E" Productions is pleased to announce three industry workshop performances of  SEX, DRUGS, CLINTON, & ME, a new one-man play written and performed by Mike Evans and directed by Kimothy Cruse. The performances will be held at Theater Three, 311 West 43rd Street, near the corner of 8th Ave. on Monday June 16th, Monday June 23rd, and Monday June 30th. All performances at 7:30 pm. SEX, DRUGS, CLINTON, & ME is the true story of a man who steals a credential, sneaks into the White House and while there gets a job working for Hillary Clinton. He then becomes a homeless heroin attack, goes to prison, then gets clean and sober.    

Mike Evans has appeared in six Hollywood films. These include a major role with Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. in the political documentary, The Last Party. In addition, he has appeared in the films, Natural Born Killers by Oliver Stone, The War Room with James Carville, and Feed by Brian Springer. Mike Evans has over 20 years political campaign experience and was elected as a delegate at every stage of the 1992 presidential campaign. He then began a 10 year long history of drug addiction, homelessness, and prison. He got clean in 2004.

Director Kimothy Cruse has been a professional director, producer, and writer on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and in film and television for over forty years. On Broadway, he was the associate director for The Little Foxes with Elizabeth Taylor. His Off-Broadway credits include, The Threepenny Opera and Portraits. His new adaptation of Diamond Lil by Mae West is scheduled for production during the 2009/2010 season.
