Love Quirks, a unique new musical by Seth Bisen-Hersh and Mark Childers about four young adults exploring various types of relationships in NYC, will be playing a limited three week run midtown at Theatre 54 (244 W 54th Street, 12 Floor) with previews beginning tonight, September 11, 2014 at 8PM. The show will have its official opening on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 8PM and will run through Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 3PM.

Love Quirks is a new musical of unconventional devotion exploring the trials and tribulations of love. Four friends and lovers, gay and straight, experience the frustrations and perils of dating and relationships in NYC. Love Quirks features a score of quirky, neurotic and poignant songs by prolific composer/ lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh and a script by Mark Childers filled with laughter, pathos and sexual tension.

One small NYC apartment contains four roommates looking for love while trying to move on from past relationships. Chris, a guy who loves baseball and novels begins falling for Steph, a nice, no-nonsense nurse who isn't interested in love anymore. Lili hasn't given up on her ex-boyfriend, Ryan, an obsessive online dater who has discovered that he no longer likes the opposite sex.

The show began as a song cycle of Bisen-Hersh's songs directed by Brian Childers in the spring of 2011 but then developed into a full fledged musical when the characters were fleshed out by Mark Childers' script. After a couple of staged readings, this will be the first fully staged performance of the piece.

The cast of Love Quirks features Teresa Hui as Lili, Robert McCaffrey as Chris, Brian Shaw as Ryan and Lauren Testerman as Steph.

The creative team for Love Quirks features direction by Brian Childers, musical direction by Eric K. Johnston and stage management by Kristin Sutter. The technical director is Ernie Fimbres; the lighting designer is Henry Siebecker; and the costume supervisor is Nick Staigerwald.

Performances of Love Quirks are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays at 8PM, the first two Sundays at 7PM and the final Sunday at 3pm. Tickets to Love Quirks can be purchased online by going to www.lovequirks.com.
