Finding oneself is key in Laura Rohrman's hilarious 90's era romantic comedy MY LIFE AS YOU directed by Lawrence Frank and produced by Double Down Productions, located at Shetler Studios Theater 54, 244 W 54th St, New York, NY 10019 for just 8 performances, beginning tonight, September 23rd.

Part "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," part "The Heidi Chronicles," part "Sex and the City" and part HBO's "Girls," MY LIFE AS YOU takes a close and humorous look at obsessive female friendships and what it feels like when your young life is in a crisis.

"From Mary Tyler Moore's news room, to Heidi's Chronicles, to the escapades of Sex and the City, the journey of a young woman making her way through the thickets of love, sex, true work, and friendship has become familiar to us. Yet, as the writer has drawn her characters, thrown them into crises and discovery, something current and considerably more genuine lifts into the room." - Stephen Jobes, Director

The cast of MY LIFE AS YOU features Sabrina Zara, Erica Boozer, Will Rosenfelt and Alex Haney.

Laura Rohrman's plays include REPORTER GIRL (The Brick Theater's Comic Book Theater Festival), HOBOKEN (Rising Sun Theater Company's reading series) and MY LIFE AS YOU (Producers Club II). Laura has been an O'Neill Playwriting Conference semi-finalist, a Weissberger Award nominee and a two-time finalist in the Samuel French Short Play Festival.
