After a successful six month run of sold out audiences and hearty hangovers, Random Access Theatre returns to the West Village for a three month extension of their debaucherous Drunk Restoration Comedy series! Join RAT the first Friday of every month at 10pm at The Players Theatre for an evening of drinking games and hilarity as their artistic associates along with top improvisers in NYC perform interactive staged readings of some of the best known works of the Restoration era and beyond.

Part scripted, part improvisation, part drinking game, the cast of Drunk Restoration Comedy will attempt to perform classic pieces of theatre while heavily under the influence. Adding to the revelry of the evening is a certain level of interactive experience, where audience members get to choose which actor takes the most shots, participate in lively drinking games, and maybe even find the liquid courage to take on a cameo role in the show.

Kicking off the extension on Friday, October 7th RAT will present a benefit (drunken) performance of ?T?he Beggar's Opera by John Gay and Johann Christoph Pepusch featuring a keg and cocktail hour prior to the performance. The proceeds from this special edition of Drunk Restoration Comedy will go towards Random Access Theatre's upcoming season including new work on their origin?al musical ?Pinwheel!, nominated for an Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Production of a Musical in 2015. Details on tickets can be found below and online. The extension will continue in November with a readin? g of T?he Country Wife by William Wycherley followed by a reading? of T? he Christmas Carol in December just in time to ring in the holiday season with lots and lots of alcohol. ?Come for the booze, one complimentary drink is included with admission, and stay for the hilarity because Drunk Restoration Comedy is an event not to be missed!
