Panel on Jungian and Freudian Analysis to Follow 2/22 Performance of SECRETS

Following the February 22nd 8pm performance of SECRETS, the Untold Story of Sigmund Freud & Carl Jung, an original play written & directed by Ken Wydro, two noted psychoanalysts will take part in a panel discussion about the careers & philosophies of Freud & Jung. SECRETS dramatizes the intense personal & professional relationship between Sigmund Freud & Carl Gustav Jung in the early years of psychoanalysis, 1907 - 1913 & is based on the 1000 letters shared by both men.

Dr. Michael Vannoy Adams, who is a Jungian psychoanalyst, will join Dr. Henry Lothane, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, for a panel following the February 22nd 8pm performance of SECRETS. The panel will open with brief comments by each analyst, of their reactions to the play, followed by a discussion about the differences between the basic concepts of Freud & Jung & what the impact of each man was on 20th century therapy & culture as whole & what influences each has today, separately or together.

Starring in SECRETS are Anita Anthonj, Demetri Bonaros*, Cooper Grodin*, John Michalski* & Natalia Volkadaeva.

Ken Wydro (Author/Director) is a published writer, a produced lyricist & librettist, a seasoned director & an active Broadway, Off-Broadway & West End producer. His original musical, Mama I Want to Sing! co-created with his wife Vy Higginsen, will celebrate 30 years of world-wide performances with a gala event on March 23, 2013, at the Dempsey Theater in Harlem. A tour of Japan is planned for December, commemorating 25 years of performing in the country. Ken's shows have employed thousands of musical & theatrical talents in several cities & countries & it ain't over yet! SECRETS is being developed for a full commercial production in London, where the script was performed at the Freud Museum in November, 2012, directed by Lucy Bailey of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
