Carly J. Bauer Productions and Mark Brystowski in association with the Untitled Theatre Collective has announced that it will stage a revival of Leslye Headland's pitch-black comedy BACHELORETTE - and in doing so, transform elements of Walkerspace into a hedonistic hotel. BACHELORETTE made its world premiere at Second Stage Uptown and subsequently inspired the hit film produced by Will Ferrell & Adam McKay. It will run Thursday, September 8 through Saturday, September 17 at Walkerspace, 46 Walker St. in Manhattan. Hannah T. Wolff will direct. www.bacheloretteplay.com

BACHELORETTE made its world premiere at Second Stage in 2010. In 2012, the film version premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Headland wrote and directed the film which co-starred Kirsten Dunst, Rebel Wilson, Lizzy Caplan and Isla Fisher. The film was subsequently sold to The Weinstein Company, and went on to become one of the most successful VOD releases to date.

BACHELORETTE goes full force, no breaks, no conscience. Every audience member will, to their dismay, recognize themselves in the men and women on stage.

When narcissistic mean girls Gena, Katie and Regan descend upon a former friend's wedding night, it is primetime for misbehavior. Leslye Headland's Bachelorette explores the incredulous inner and outer lives of three over-medicated, toxic women seeking validation by any means. In the early morning hours of Becky's wedding day friendships will be tested, lines will be cut, messes will be made, and no one makes it out unscathed.

The play is relentless in its character revelations and challenges the audience to align itself with flawed, and therefore real, people in the midst of making poor choices, transporting theatergoers to a night of shared regret, the kind we transform over time into a hilarious story exploited for one-upmanship. BACHELORETTE is a wild night of debauchery, along with a darkly comedic, unflinching look at female friendship and contemporary gluttony, compelling us to reevaluate and celebrate.

The cast of BACHELORETTE features Scott Friend, James Hesse, Kelsey Moore, Emily Ota, Erika Santosuosso and Darcy Wright.

Leslye Headland is an established playwright, screenwriter, and director, and holds a BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Headland started her writing for the theater, with such plays as Bachelorette (Second Stage), Assistance (Playwrights Horizons), and the rest of the Seven Deadly Plays series (IAMA Theatre Company). Several of these plays would later serve as the basis for her film and television projects. In 2010, Headland became a staff writer for FX's television series "Terriers," created by Ted Griffin and Shawn Ryan. In 2012, she made her directorial debut with Bachelorette. Off of that feat, Headland set up her next script, About Last Night, at Screen Gems and grossed over $50 million domestically. Most recently, Headland wrote and directed the romantic-comedy, Sleeping with Other People, produced by Gloria Sanchez Productions.

Hannah T. Wolff's directing experience includes The Wisdom of Eve (Wrigley Theater, Chicago), The Vagina Monologues (Friss Auditorium, Chicago), High Quality Friends (Arthur Seelen Theater, NY), Fang - A Staged Reading (Theater for the New City, NY), and Between Men (Midtown International Theatre Festival). Hannah made her off-Broadway acting debut in Women Are Crazy Because Men Are A**holes at the Cherry Lane Theater last summer.

The design team includes UTC members Lucca Damilano (Scenic/Lighting Design), Allyson Steele (Sound/Costume Design), Lauren Fischetti and Alexa Welch (additional production support). Production stage management is by Darielle Shandler.
