The Bushwick Starr Propeller Project presents Plum de Force, written and directed by Kristine Haruna Lee, with performances tonight, September 5-8, Thursday-Sunday at 8pm.

Johnny is a farmer who can talk to plums. He's also in love with one. When the illicit affair becomes a public scandal, the adulterous plum and her sisters receive their grim sentence- plucked and sent to an ultra-chic supermarket, which, from their perspective, is a Berlin Night Club full of lights, music, plastics, pesticides, and not to mention, some dangerous looking fruit. A psychedelic trip offered by one dubious apple sends the plums to a circus in Calcutta (of all places), where bread and butter sing, a bag of sugar sweet talks, and a courtroom waits to cast their finAl Verdict. Plum de Force is Kristine Haruna Lee's newest play about the life cycle of plums who are also witches, contemplating the modern consciousness of food.

Plum de Force features Stevo Arnoczy, Andrew Butler, Matt Carr, NicHi Douglas, Jo Lampert, Anastasia Olowin, Cyndi Perzcek, Marisa Lark Wallin, Lauren Swan-Potras, and Chinaza Uche.

Set Design by Gregory Laffey; Lighting Design by Sarah Lurie; Costume Design by Karen Boyer and Bevan Dunbar; Sound Design by Mike De Angelis; Original Music Composition by Kathryn Hathaway; Photographic Design by Sasha Arutyunova; Projection Design by Stevo Arnoczy; and Stage Managed by Maggie Yeomans.
