To commemorate the company's birthday, Libra will welcome many friends and former artists to the stage to perform great songs and share personal stories. The concert will feature sets of songs inspired by the work of William Shakespeare, composed by Pete Mills (ILLYRIA, HONOR), Will Reynolds (THE GREENWOOD TREE), and Jeff Raab (Libra's 12TH NIGHT). Performers include Jennifer Bissell (The Mint's THE POWER OF DARKNESS), Maddy Clapps (Libra's SONGS YOU SHOULD KNOW), Steven Cuevas (12TH NIGHT), Meghan Dixon (Libra's ANTIGONE), Nick Luckenbaugh (Libra's PARFUMERIE), Lia Peros (Libra's FLEETWEEK: THE SONGS OF CARNER AND GREGOR), Rebecca Vogel (IF IT ONLY EVEN RUNS A MINUTE), and Victoria Weinberg (12TH NIGHT).

Libra's birthday celebration comes just following the close of its sold-out, criticallyacclaimed production of William Shakespeare's 12th Night, directed by Evan Mueller (Amphibian Productions' ANIMALS OUT OF PAPER – "Best Of", Fort Worth Weekly). In addition tocomemorating 2011-12 programming, Libra's concert will also ring in the 2012-13season. Scheduled programming includes a second season of In the Balance, with contemporary plays like Kenny Finkle's Indoor/Outdoor and classics like Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE IT, with music by 12TH NIGHT's Jeff Raab. Libra will also present the world premiere of THE THIRTEENTH COMMANDMENT, a compelling new play from 2011 Jonathan Larson Grant winner Joshua H. Cohen.
