Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw, under the leadership of Artistic Director David Staller, continues its 11th Season when it presents its 117th concert presentation with George Bernard Shaw's On The Rocks on Monday, October 24 at 7pm, at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th Street).

Written in 1933, On The Rocks combines a healthy dose of comedy and political satire. This rascally comedy is a heart-warming cocktail of money, greed, politics and sex. In this play, a beleaguered British Prime Minister is attacked from all corners and is losing hope before the arrival of a mysterious woman who changes everything.

On The Rocks features Jeff McCarthy (Sir Arthur Chavender, the Prime Minister), Talene Monahon (Hilda Hanways), Alan Cox (Sir Broadfoot Basham), Kristin Parker (Miss Flavia Chavender), Cady Huffman (Lady Chavender), Michael Doonan (David Chavender), Robert Zukerman (Mayor Tom Humphries), Allison Layman (Aloysia Brollikins), Tony Roach (Viscount Barking), Richard Ferrone (Alderman Blee), Ed Dixon (Mr. Hipney), Charlotte Rae (The Lady), Raphael Nash Thompson (Sir Dexter Rightside), Drew McVety (Admiral Sir Bemrose Hotspot), David Sedgwick (Mr. Glenmorison), James Rana (Sir Jafna Pandranath), and Jack Gilpin (The Duke of Domesday). NY-1's Roma Torre is the Narrator.

According to Staller, "This wildly entertaining comedy was written while the world was trying to claw out of the Great Depression. As usual with Shaw, everyone and everything gets a pie in the face. It was, in fact, the inspiration for the Brit-com, 'Yes, Minister.' While we prepare for November's election (finally!) Shaw gives us a chance to sit back and gain a little much-needed perspective."

Tickets are $35 and are available by calling (212) 864-5400 or online at www.symphonyspace.org. Special reserved VIP seating available for $50 by contacting the Gingold office 212-355-7823 or info@gingoldgroup.org.

Now celebrating its 11th year, Gingold Theatrical Group's Project Shaw made history in December 2009 as the first company ever to present performances of every one of Shaw's 65 plays (including full-length works, one-acts and sketches). They are now also including plays by writers who most inspired Shaw to begin his playwriting career, including work by Chekhov, Ibsen, Wilde, Barrie and Harley Granville-Barker--while continuing its new play development and educational programs.

The 2016 Project Shaw Season continues with J.M. Barrie's Alice Sit-By-The-Fire (November 21), and Androcles and the Lion (December 19). The 2017 schedule will be announced soon.

For those interested in lively off-site discourses, each Project Shaw event is followed by a talk-back with cast members. GTG's David Staller is also hosting a monthly Shaw Club discussion group. They meet the Wednesday before every Project Shaw event at 520 8th Avenue. Reservations required 212-355-7823 or info@gingoldgroup.org.

Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre space is completely disabled accessible. Symphony Space is located in Manhattan at 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street).
