TENDERPITS presented by Horse Trade Theater Group and AnimalParts will run September 22-October 1 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Ave and Ave A), Thursday through Saturday at 8pm. It is a fast paced genre-destroying comedy possessed by bouts of unrestrained hopefulness and brutal intimacy.

Anthony JohnSTON (Writer/Performer) is a New York City based actor and theatre maker. Anthony has worked across Canada, for some of the country's most important theatres. Credits include; Alan in the Canadian revival of Equus (Citadel), Billy in the first Canadian productions of Edward Albee's The Goat or Who is Sylvia? (Centaur, MTC), Brodie in Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing (MTC), Gary in the Western Canadian Premiere of Shopping and f-ing (Pi) and Bill Mercer in the Dora-Award winning production of Leaving Home (Soulpepper). In New York, Anthony has worked with NY Theatre Experiment, Stage Left Studio, EST's Youngblood, 13th St. Rep, The Management and Horse Trade Theater Group. His original one-man shows have been produced across Canada, in New York City and in New Jersey. Art's Heart was awarded Outstanding Solo Show at the 2009 FringeNYC and Tenderpits was selected as Best Multi-Media Performance at the 2010 United Solo Festival at Theatre Row. Most recently Anthony participated in The Public Theater's 2011 Shakespeare Lab, headed by Barry Edelstein.

NATHAN SCHWARTZ (Co-Creator/Director) most recently directed Miranda Huba's Dirty Little Machine for AnimalParts. Past credits include: Ragnarok Out! for Nuit Blanche 2009 at The Theatre Centre (Toronto) as well as the HATCH 2009 hit, It Takes Two Men To Make A Brother at the Harbourfront Centre (Toronto), Art's Heart at FringeNYC 2009 (awarded Outstanding Solo Show) and The Garage Theatre's SoloFest 2010 (Teaneck, NJ), Bass Bugs (Walking Fish Festival, Vancouver). Nathan has won 'Best Director' two years running at Ottawa's Youth Infringement Festival. Nathan wrote and performed And Now a Message From Mr. Mr. (Toronto Festival of Clowns 2009), and Messiah Ayeland (2005 Chutzpah Festival, Vancouver). He won the Jessie Richardson Award for 'Best Artistic
Achievement' with the cast of The Big League (Carousel Theatre, Vancouver).

ANIMALPARTS is a New York City based theatre company dedicated to creating unique and vibrant new theatre that not only entertains but also challenges its audience. Using traditions of clown and bouffon, and juxtaposing multi-media with an honest and true connection with the audience - AnimalParts creates serio-comic performance pieces always rooted in Humor, Heart, and Innovation.

HORSE TRADE THEATER GROUP is a self-sustaining theater development group; with a focus on new work, it has produced a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater.
