"Bringing Broadway to Staten Island" continues for The Harbor Lights Theater Company as they announce this year's 2011 season. As was demonstrated last season, each play andor musical offers Staten Island an affordable theatrical experience of exceptional quality for families and individuals of all ages to enjoy. The heart of Harbor Lights' mission is to tap not only the Broadway community across the harbor, but also the talent right in our own backyard, to create vital, memorable theater for the entire community.

"Our dream of bringing Broadway's best to Staten Island became a reality in 2010. With the help of our local community, its leaders, and theater lovers both here and beyond our shores, we were able to bring our friends in the Broadway community to grace our local stages. What a gratifying and successful experience 2010 was, our first year in existence," said Tamara Jenkins, Co- Founder and Artistic Director of the Harbor Lights Theater Company.

"In our 2011 season we will continue to fulfill our mission -- offering Staten Island the highest quality theater with Broadway artists. But now, with a new contract from Actor's Equity Association, we can utilize the talented Staten Islanders who live and pursue their love of the theater in our beloved borough, " said Jay Montgomery, Harbor Lights Co-Founder and Associate Artistic Director. " This is something we take pride in."

Ray Roderick, the associate director of the 2000 Broadway revival of The Music Man and the director of the show's subsequent national tour, will direct. Staten Island resident Mimi Quillin, a one time assistant to Bob Fosse, will choreograph.

All the best to The Harbor Lights Theater company as they prepare for their 2011 season of shows. Enhancing our opportunities to see live theater with Broadway talent and taking place at one of Staten Island's jewels, Snug Harbor, presents Staten Islanders with a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the arts, right in their home community," said Borough President James P. Molinaro.
